In depth

Verdict

Mysterium is taken to beat Doctor John, with Berkeley Heights not out of it either. Mysterium has had a little break since beating subsequent hat-trick scorer Stravmour here in March and will take the beating. Connections of the latter certainly think so as they decline a rematch on six pound worse terms. There was talk of retiring Mysterium, but in his current mood that would be a bad idea, and in fact he may even run over hurdles if they can find the right race for him. Doctor John was a winner here in February and remains far better treated on the all-weather than on Turf, so should not be ruled out entirely, while Berkeley Heights, who looks held by the selection on a line through Stravmour, may make the frame. Mysterium has done enough to warrant support though and is the one to be on.
