        Verdict

        A trappy apprentice handicap gets proceedings underway but something has to win and the principals look to be Alonso De Guzman, Machinate and Scripted and the narrow vote is given to Alonso De Guzman. The selection won well last time out when beating Pop Music and although rising in the weights he looks progressive and under conditions that suit he is taken to win again. Scripted rates the main danger on his latest second behind Shogun Prince but the drop in trip is a slight concern and he looks opposable on that basis. Machinate is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he now looks weighted up to his best. Of the remainder, Pitbull goes well fresh so could go well at a price while Not Now Lewis has the ability to win off this mark but he does not like to put his head in front and, with this in mind, for the winner we return to Alonso de Guzman.
