In depth

Verdict

Mongoose Alert is on the upgrade and escapes a penalty for his latest success in a seller at Lingfield. However, he'll need to find further improvement in this better company. Mighty Clarets is also facing a tougher task having won a lesser contest here last month but Dahaam and Thunderstruck are perfectly at home in this grade and both are worthy of consideration. FOLLOW THE FLAG has been in fine form over shorter trips at Southwell recently, but Alan McCabe's versatile gelding is equally at home on the Polytrack and has won three times over 1m2f. He gets the vote in what looks an open affair.
