In depth

Verdict

A potentially-informative fillies’ novice event for the time of year. Rideson has the form in the book and Rover Varian’s stable has made a quick start to the New Year. She has placed in all three starts at Chelmsford and a change of surface shouldn’t stall progress but Charlie Appleby fields a couple of very interesting newcomers in the Godolphin colours. Endless Echoes has a middle-distance pedigree so the trip will be no problem but the Dubawi filly DISTANT GODDESS is a half-sister to four winners, including the French 1,000 Guineas winner and Oaks runner-up Beauty Parlour, and can come out on top. Vega's Angel, out of smart all-weather performer Lily’s Angel, is also worth a market check but Lovely Rosie is bred to be best up to a mile.
