Verdict
SENDRENI was such an easy winner over course and distance last time that even a 10lb rise should not stop him here, and he can score with H Harrison and Bentley leading dangers. Michael Wigham-trained Sendreni was dropping to this trip for the first time when dotting up a week or so ago and in spite of that rise he will begin today's race from a mark that is lower than he has performed well from before. The trainer is noted for being capable of getting his inmates to string together a sequence and this looks likely to be another. H Harrison races over his optimum trip here and has a c&d win to his name. He has now dropped to a dangerously low mark and could be a major player. Bentley is another who has a liking for this track and races from a mark 1lb below his highest win, and back over this trip he can get heavily involved. Another to consider is Vanadium, who is back to an attractive enough mark and also likes it here, so he can't be ruled out. Ghafeer tries the polytrack for the first time and seems to act on most ground on turf, so he may well be able to act on this over a trip that suits, but preference in the opener is for Sendreni.
