    Verdict

A wide spread of weights in an average field and narrow preference is for HUXAAR ahead of Mannlichen and Woteva. Several of these have proven that they handle testing ground so we should see a good battle here and Huxaar proved last time at Beverley that he has the fight as he battled back for a decisive win. The first two were clear and the yard has some good juveniles in. Rising Prospect shocked most people when winning at 20/1 on debut at York but hasn't been able to improve on that since; he should do better today now in easier company. Cosmic Sun has a profile that doesn't encourage placing a bet on him to win, so of more interest may be Mannlichen. He is yet to face ground like this but his pedigree hints that soft ground may suit so be wary of him with the stable in form. Woteva is a proven winner but it will be interesting to see whether the cheek-pieces will have such an impact second time around. A tough race to call but preference is for Huxaar.
