In depth
Verdict
Despite his reversal when favourite first time out it has to be Musical Gift to break his maiden tag here. The colt travelled well enough at Lingfield and stayed on in a manner that suggested he would definitely improve considerably for the run and and today's extra furlong. The booking of Kieren Fallon looks significant and he should steer him home. It should also be competitive for the places, with And Toto Too, who has been going well over shorter trip stepping into unknown territory. Breeding suggests that she should get the trip all right and she can be on the premises. Also interesting is Wizard Of The West, who finished second here over course and distance on his only previous attempt at the trip, back in November. He seems to be suited well enough by the surface here and first-time blinkers may prove to be significant. Port Moreno drops back in trip after trying a couple of furlongs further at Southwell the other day, and he too can be involved in the battle for minor honours.
