Verdict

Smoki Smoka found one too good over a mile here on his handicap debut but the remaining trio all arrive on the back of recent wins. Water's Edge landed a novices race at Lingfield in good style and had gone close in a handicap before that while War Tiger came good when beating an odds-on favourite in novice company over track and trip. GANTIER won a maiden at Chelmsford in first-time blinkers and it’s John Gosden’s Frankel colt that gets the speculative vote to show the most improvement and come out best in a hard race to call.
