In depth
Verdict
Blackheath has been knocking on the door of late but we prefer the claims of Magic Amour here who is in turn preferred to Desert Light. The selection was only narrowly beaten over 6f here last time by Phinerine and he showed enough early pace that day to suggest that the drop back to the minimum trip will not be a problem. He has a decent draw and could be hard to peg back. Desert Light recently finished behind our selection last time and unlike Magic Amour he has never won over this trip so he looks opposable from a poor draw. Blackheath has not been beaten far on each of his last three races but he was unable to take advantage of the best of the draw at Lingfeld last time and he will do well to get his head in front from stall 11 today. Kitchen Sink is another that has not been done any favours by the draw and he looks worth taking on. We will stick with Magic Amour who is taken to lead them home.
