In depth

Verdict

Hermocrates won here in January and returned to winning ways with a comfortable success at Brighton and should make a bold bid to defy a 5lb rise. But ROVING MISSION (NAP) was heavily supported for a 1m2f novices' event on heavy ground at Epsom and looked like winning when leading 2f out but she weakened inside the last. Compensation awaits as Stormbomber can't get his head in front and continues to climb the ratings. Redgrave was beaten in a Hamilton seller last time while Elhafei hasn't won in a dozen starts and ran poorly at Southwell last time.
