In depth

Verdict

A competitive race despite numbers and Cross Fell can account for Jerry Hamilton and Tyfos. Cross Fell has been in good form of late and the form of his Lingfield third was given a boost earlier in the week by the subsequent victory of Geezers Colours. Expect to see him brought under a front run. Jerry Hamilton is a half-brother to Sharmadal. He kept on for a never nearer second on his latest start but still has something to prove. Tyfos won a horrendously weak maiden at the track over six furlongs but showed enough to suggest that seven furlongs will hold no fears. Ten Pole Tudor appears to take his racing well and there was no fluke about his victory here in a Novice Stakes. The Last Bottle makes an all-weather debut while the others appear to have it all to do. Cross Fell gets the call.
