    Verdict

He's A Striker reappeared after a long break in what looked a poor maiden here ten days ago and was turned over at odds of 1/4. His three runs on Turf entitled him to do much better so he shouldn't be written off just yet. Dave Simcock runs a pair here with Majeed, who looked very much in need of the experience on his debut here in November but stayed on nicely, likely to prove stronger at this stage than newcomer Sian Gwalia. AMBLESIDE is the eighth foal of a mare who has already produced four winners. This trip looks ideal as he makes his debut and he's given the nod over another first-timer in The Welsh Wizard, a son of Dylan Thomas, who counts Sir Alex Ferguson amongst his owners.
