ROADWAY wasn’t beaten far when fourth at Chelmsford despite being hampered. This extra distance will suit and she can open her account with normal luck in-running. Alpina Express is a likely improver while Dubai Crystal only found an odds-on favourite too good when runner-up at Newcastle. Charlie Appleby complicate matters by running the newcomers Tranquil Rose and Joyful Act with the former costing €950,000 as a half-sister to high-class stablemate Native Trail.
