Verdict
Khanjar is an old hand at this course and is selected ahead of Danebank and Zaffeu, who are expected to provide the sternest challenges from the rest. That said, Is could be dangerous if he handles the surface and is another to bear in mind. Zaffeu's consistency is commendable and this is just about his grade. At least, he can be relied upon to keep trying to the line and is more than capable of picking up place money in this company. Danebank has a solid chance when the best of his form is taken into account. And he may provide the selection with the most to think about. John Mackie's Flat runners always have to be considered when the emphasis is on stamina and this fellow should be capable of posting a bold display. However, Khanjar just gets the nomination, as he is now on a very attractive mark. Karl Burke is a past master at effectively handicapping his own horses and this fellow can be the latest in a long line of runners to land a claimer for the master of Spiggot Lodge.
