Verdict
Hurricane Coast has been very profitable to follow and may be up to the task again, with Flint River, Bond Royale, Ellens Academy and Quiet Times potential dangers. The feature race on the card has attracted some decent all-weather performers, none more so that Hurricane Coast who has been a revelation both for former trainer Paul Blockley and for his current connections. Despite continuing to rise in the weights, he gives his all, and after finishing a gallant third at Lingfield four days ago, will appreciate the slower surface and step back up in trip here. Flint River returned from a seven week break to run Massey close here recently and can be fancied to turn the tables on slightly more favourable terms. He will win again when upped in trip but should make his presence felt here. Bond Royale was hampered at the start when second to Quiet Times on her return from a break at Southwell a fortnight ago. She is slightly better off at the weights with that rival and saves her best efforts for Wolverhampton. She is another to consider then, along with Ellens Academy who shaped really well when fourth under topweight at Southwell after a three month break. He is well treated compared to his turf rating and can go well on his first visit here. With Port St Charles and Sir Desmond sure to have their supporters as well, it makes for a competitive affair, one that may go to Hurricane Coast.
