In depth
Verdict
A competitive finale can go to Nakwa, who is just preferred over fellow in-form rivals Cool Bathwick, Theatre Tinker and Molly's Secret. However, Daunted also arrives here at the top of his game and cannot confidently be ruled out of going close despite being on a 4lb higher mark than he ran off when winning at Southwell earlier in the month. In turn, Nakwa has also been raised 3lb after going down by only a neck to the progressive Sendintank a little over a week ago - an estimation that looks fair in the context of this race. The selection's trainer, Eric Alston, has his string in good order at present and has been placing his runners accordingly at their own level. Facts which bolster the claims of Nakwa, who will be hard to beat with useful claimer Dave Allan easing his burden at the weights with his 3lb claim.
