      Verdict

      RED CAPE has been well beaten on turf recently but won a handicap over C&D in December. If he runs anywhere near that level in this company than Ruth Carr's charge is the one to beat as he's well clear of the opposition on official ratings. Catalyze was backed as though defeat was out of the question in a seller at Lingfield last month and duly obliged while Chjimes has the beating of Whipphound on his latest run behind Waabel. Steelcut never figured form a high draw at Kempton last time but is not easily dismissed back in plating company.
