CARNAC has done all his winning on the all-weather at Southwell so far but he's gone close at this track on more than one occasion. He's a winner without a penalty after landing an apprentices race on the Fibresand last week and can go in again. Black Iceman and Celtic Charlie have both struggled off higher marks since recording doubles on the Polytrack earlier this year while Asterales is 7lb higher than her win at Kempton in February. Needwood Park has outside claims but course winner Tigerino could prove a bigger threat on his return to action.
