LIBERTY CAP is no star but should be up to going close here and is accordingly selected ahead of Malice Or Mischief and Lady Morganna. John Gosden has his string in decent form and the maiden that Liberty Cap won two starts ago has been boosted by subsequent wins for the second, third and seventh. He's been well beaten since but that was in a warm Newmarket nursery and this is a steep drop in class, so we expect him to bounce back. Malice Or Mischief was continually hampered close home when third at Warwick and had to settle for third but that effort suggested he's no problem seeing out seven. Ralph Beckett's charge is reunited with Jim Crowley, aboard for the horse's debut success, and the pair should go close. Lady Morganna had Prophet In A Dream and Yarooh behind when third in a similar Kempton contest. She's 4lbs higher but stayed on impressively and is expected to confirm the form, with Prophet In A Dream looking exposed and Yarooh having difficulty seeing out this distance. Whats For Pudding drops 4lbs and tries a visor while Water Ice steps into nursery company for the first time but stable form is a worry with her and we'll side with Liberty Cap.
