In an interesting affair, a number can be given claims, including Danelor, Davenport and Overlord Way, but we will side with Nevada Desert. Nevada Desert returned from a six-month break to score over course and distance two runs ago and, even though he has been raised seven pounds for that, looks to be on the up and can go well again. He was beaten last time from out of the weights. Overlord Way's sole win has come here and he'll prefer today's trip to last time and, lightly raced, he could have more to come. Blue Trojan is on a fair mark based on Turf form and there was some encouragement to be gleaned from his Lingfield run over a shorter trip last time. Danelor is very well-weighted based on spring Turf form and should go well from his current mark, while Davenport kept finding improvement during the course of the year and he too looks to have more to come. A number of the others need to find career bests in order to score although, of course, so does the selection, Nevada Desert, but we are happy to stick with him.
