MONKEY GLAS can land this weak opener at the main expense of Murfreesboro and Singleb. The selection did not have the race run to suit last time at Lingfield when he plugged-on to finish third behind Little Edward. The return to this trip is a big plus and from a decent draw Chris Catlin can steer him to victory. Murfreesboro is eased in grade today which will help his cause, as should the drop in trip and the plum draw. However, he has only managed two career wins from 26 starts and his overall strike-rate hardly inspires confidence. Singleb showed he is a capable performer on the turf during the summer and he won a seller in decent style here last time. At this level he is able to get his head in front and from a good low draw he is entitled to make the frame. Crocodile Bay won well last time but he has been drawn in the car park which will not help his cause, and in a trappy event we will stick with Monkey Glas to land the prize.
