Verdict
The second division of an uninspiring contest in which few make much appeal. Zafarshah stepped up on previous efforts when landing a mile maiden at Lingfield last time but had previously twice been well beaten off an identical mark in handicaps here so looks plenty high enough in the weights at present. Quiet Reading has been well placed to score back-to-back victories here and at Southwell this winter but may now be in the handicapper's grip judged on his most recent effort. Diamond Green has clearly had his problems and has struggled to recapture the form of his maiden victory here last term so a tentative vote goes to Givemethemoonlight. Gerald Cottrell's charge is relatively lightly raced and is open to a little improvement so must go well after a close third (off the same mark) here in December.
