Verdict
The most valuable race on the card has understandably attracted a competitive field but Roses Of Spring is on a real roll and is taken to complete a four-timer. Robert Cowell's mare has proved a thoroughly genuine type over 5/6f and, despite a 6lb rise for her latest success at Lingfield earlier in the month, will prove hard to beat from a favourable draw. There are plenty of dangers including top weight Peruvian Chief who put up a string of decent efforts in top turf sprints last term before landing a quality handicap at Ascot in September. Nick Littmoden's charge has to be feared despite a wide berth while Rafter's Music comes here in top form and should go well under a penalty for a recent course and distance win. Quito didn't get the clearest of runs last time but wasn't beaten far and will appreciate the extra furlong but recent course and distance winner Ronnie From Donny is now 10lb higher and faces no easy task judged on his latest performance.
