In depth

Verdict

Garstang has won just twice in the last couple of years so it's hard to see him following up last week's victory under a penalty, though Silver Wind may do better back over today's trip after disappointing over 6f last time. Consistency shouldn't be expected at this level but even so, Prize Point, Fleetwoodsands and Ensnare stretch the point having produced dire efforts either side of winning and a chance is taken on DOUBLE CARPET. He won twice on the Polytrack at this time last year and, off a 3lb lower mark than his latest win, Garry Woodward's charge looks ready to strike again. Meia Noite looks best of the rest.
