Cahar Fad likes it around here and though he doesn't win often makes a quick reappearance after a short-head defeat when dropped into this grade at Chelmsford on Thursday, where he was staying on over the 1m2f trip. Ted's Brother is 10-82 on Turf and 0-11 on the all-weather which hardly justifies consideration but punters who have supported Brooke's Point recently will be looking for compensation. Neil Mullholland's charge looked a certain future winner when runner-up at Chepstow in August but his two runs on Polytrack this year have been disappointing. Gavin Cromwell is a very smart operator in Ireland who places his horses to their best effect so the presence of BOTTLEOFSMOKE is intriguing. He's still a maiden but can hardly go much lower in the weights so gets the nod.
