Verdict
A race to treat with a cautious approach and stakes should be placed accordingly, especially when taking into consideration that the top weight, Littleton Zephir, is on a mark of only 49. That said Comtesse Noire is at least holding her form at the moment and drops back to a more appropriate trip here. She hails from a stable that is bang in-form at the moment and she will not be presented with much easier opportunities to rid herself of the maiden tag. The dangers include Prince Minata, who should handle the step up in trip and his 6lb penalty will not be too much of a hindrance in this company. He does however, have a tendency to meet trouble in running and is not one to be supported by the feint heated. Boom Or Bust also hinted at a return to form in his latest outing but he too is frustrating to follow and may be found wanting for a turn of foot if this develops into a dash for the line. Cherine and Western Command do have claims on the pick of their form but are too risky to recommend without any support from the betting ring.
