In depth

Verdict

La Viola Grecian Gold and Go Guarda are three against the field in this competitive claimer and the vote is given to Grecian Gold. The selection won well last time out when beating Ask The Clerk in similar grade last time out, he is one of the least exposed in the field and with more improvement likely from a good draw he will be hard to beat. La Viola rates the main danger on his latest second behind Baby Barry, that form has since been franked and with his yard in form he should be noted in the market. Go Guarda is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is hard to win with. Luis Melendez won in good style last time out but is unproven on the surface while Gem Bien has the ability to go close but never runs to races alike and in a trappy affair for the winner we are happy to return to Grecian Gold.
