Verdict
Musiotal gets the vote over My Girl Pearl, with Mount Royale and Fulvio worth considering as alternatives. Musiotal was sent off as favourite in the race won by My Girl Pearl over the course and distance just over three weeks ago, but went down narrowly. There were excuses though, as Paul Howling's charge was slowly away and then encountered traffic problems when mounting his challenge. There was little more than a neck separating first and third at the finish, and on three-pound better terms now, Musiotal must surely turn the tables. Mount Royale was beaten in a Banded contest here last time, and has not been in the best of form, but he too has won here in the past and it would be no surprise if he were to reach the frame at least. Fulvio is yet another that has scored over track and trip in the past, and his placed efforts give him a chance of sorts as well. For the winner we return to Musiotal.
