Verdict
In a wide open finale we will side with Scorchio, with Night Warrior and Melograno put forward as the main dangers. The selection may have bounced last time when well beaten over twelve furlongs having previously been successful over this trip following a lengthy lay off. If repeating that initial return he will be hard to beat this afternoon. Night Warrior won a couple of races at Southwell before finishing a close up fifth behind Libre at Lingfield. He has to give weight away here but should still be involved in the finish. Melograno wasn't beaten far behind Kentucky Bullet at Southwell last time out and does have good form here as well so has to be respected in this company. Regency Red could be the pick of the others but our idea of the winner is Scorchio.
