      In depth

      Verdict

Glutnforpunishment struggled at Southwell last time and this is tougher than the match he won at Lingfield before that. There was little separating third-placed Willkommen and GABRIAL THE GIANT over track and trip earlier in the month and that could also be the case today. But the latter has Thomas Greatrex’ 5lb allowance in his favour on this occasion and that may swing the outcome his way. Ventura Island could figure if the extra distance suits though that’s not guaranteed and the same comment applies to Euro Implosion, gelded since last in action in September.
