Verdict

Triple course-and-distance winner STRIKE FORCE will take some beating if repeating his latest effort and gets the vote under the talented Adam Beschizza. The horse had rather lost his way on the turf but unsurprisingly relished a return to this venue to score by five-lengths to Watchmaker, who is a solid yardstick, and can repeat the trick. Lord Of The Dance is considered the most likely threat, himself up 6lbs for winning here last time. The four-year-old travelled well and put the race to bed emphatically and therefore isn't one to dismiss lightly. Blinkers are tried on French Applause but best of the northern raiders looks to be Nicholas Pocock, a winner on his last start over course and distance who has Hanagan's assistance.
