Verdict
HUMOUR ME RENE won a mile and a half claimer with plenty in hand on debut for the in-form George Baker and may be able to make a successful step up in trip and return to handicap company although her stamina is likely to be tested to the limit with proven performers like Master At Arms, Black Or Red and Dart in opposition. The last-named opened her account for her new trainer at the third attempt when beating Master At Arms and it would be no surprise to see her make further progress but Black Or Red may just need his first run back from a break. William's Way should remain competitive from his revised mark whilst Leyte Gulf saves his best for this venue but has done almost all of his winning at around a mile six.
