Romantic Verse, Bishopbriggs and Sir Ike make most appeal in this handicap and the vote is given to Romantic Verse. The selection is arguably better over 7f but her cause was not helped last time when she stumbled out of the stalls over this trip and she was noted staying-on well at the finish. She has a good draw today and she can make it count and return to winning ways. Bishopbriggs was a little disappointing over 5f at Catterick last time but his best run came over this trip and this unexposed 3-year-old is not without a chance back in handicap company. However, his high draw is a cause for concern. Sir Ike put in a decent effort when third behind Superduper last time, but the form was let down by the winner who disappointed on Friday. Declan Carroll has his string in decent form so Imperial Djay is of interest, although he is another who has been done no favours by the draw. Romantic Verse looks the answer to this contest and she can provide trainer Willie Haggas with another winner.
