A competitive maiden gets proceedings underway and as usual in these events the market will be all important but the principals look to be Know No Fear,Shatter Resistant, and Monday Morning and the narrow nomination is given to Know No Fear. The selection has shown enough in two runs to date to suggest he could win a race of this nature notably when second behind Soopacal last time out. He was sent off favourite on that occasion and is clearly though capable of better and in the hope he acts on this surface he is taken to score. Shatter Resistant rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Fol Hollow. However although he travels well in his races he often finds less than expected off the bridle and at likely odds he looks worth taking on. Monday Morning is another that could go well on her latest fifth behind Alizadora, she looks sure to improve and with her stable amongst the winners she should be watched in the market. Of the remainder Zippi Jazzman was second behind Imperial Mint last time out and is another with place claims but he has already suggested he would be seen to better effect over a longer trip and with this in mind for the winner we return to Know No Fear who looks sure to improve on this surface.
