Verdict

In the opener, Generous Thought is selected ahead of Silca Destination and Rich Kid. It is unlikely that Baronivici will run given his narrow defeat at Chepstow on Friday, otherwise he could have been fancied. Caradoc Place is improving based on his course and distance run last time, and Generous Thought, a 28,000 guineas son of Cadeaux Genereux, showed plenty of promise when fifth on his Newmarket debut to subsequent Coventry Stakes third Luck Money. That is solid form and he is the selection. Ones that, on breeding, can be given some consideration are Brian Meehan's American Welcome, Michael Bell's Love Dancer, Thunder Gorge, and Silca Destination, whose dam is a half-sister to the top-class Silca's Sister, while, with his stable in such good form, Rich Kid could well improve a lot on his racecourse debut, and Ambrose Princess showed some promise on her course and distance maiden debut last time. Finally, Queen's Treasure finished last on her five-furlong debut here, but is surely better than that but, for the selection, we will stick with Generous Thought.
