Millfield, Blue Empire and Burford Lass form the shortlist in the finale and the vote is given to Millfield. The selection was an impressive winner at Brighton last time and the booking of Ryan Moore in the saddle is an eyecatching one. He has a good draw and should take plenty of beating. Blue Empire rates the main danger as he is a course and distance winner and he won well from a poor draw at Thirsk last time. He again has a tough draw today and that might just find him out. Burford Lass won well last time but it is doubtful that this step-up in trip will suit so she is opposable. Sovereignty has a good draw and could represent some each-way value, but Millfield has solid claims and can win again.
