In depth

Verdict

Little Richard, Escoffier and Mr Mischief form the shortlist in this handicap and the vote is given to Little Richard. The selection ran a respectable race at Lingfield last time and this course and distance winner looks to have solid claims today from a good low draw. Escoffier would have claims on his best form but he disappointed here last time and that would temper confidence. Mr Mischief is more than capable on his day and he will have no problems handling this surface or getting the trip. He is not the most reliable but he is capable of going well. Stagecoach Emerald is a consistent type and looks a definite possibility for a place. Little Richard looks to have been found a good opportunity here and he is the pick.
