        Verdict

        Swift Gift, Wise Hawk and Spiritofthetiger take the eye here, and Wise Hawk can come on for a promising debut effort. Spiritofthetiger has run well on each occasion she has ran, and stayed on well last time to be a close third. She seems to be crying out for a step up in trip and this distance may once again prove too short. Swift Gift is trained by Brian Meehan, successful earlier this week, and she has been off the course for three months after a couple of decent runs on turf. Her form suggests she can play a leading role here. Wise Hawk is a son of Hawk Wing, whose progeny have done well this season. He shaped well on his debut, fading in the final furlong in what looked a decent Doncaster maiden to be a close fifth. He held every chance that day, but his trainer, Willie Haggas usually favours a kind introduction and improvement looks guaranteed. Wise Hawk may prove too clever for his rivals.
