Verdict
The consistent Royal Grand has struggled with his handicap mark and takes a drop in class here. While he looks sure to give a good account he may have to play second fiddle to Miss Champers, who also drops to this grade for the first time. Richard Hannon's filly, a dual course winner, is another who has been fighting a losing battle with the Handicapper. She meets Royal Grand on 12lbs better terms than in a handicap and should make no mistake. Molotov may improve for the fitting of blinkers, but on a line through Fulvio, he has plenty to find with the selection.
