In depth

Verdict

Narrowly beaten on last year’s debut, MARIA ROSA proved a disappointment when sent off favourite on her reappearance at Chelmsford. But the return to 7f may help and the Gosden filly gets another chance in this weaker contest. Fast Spin looks a likely improver for a yard in flying form and is preferred to Pope Gregory and Filo's Flyer while the newcomer Inexplicable cost 325,000gns as a foal but was sold for only 12,000gns at last year’s sales.
