Verdict
Last month’s Haydock winner Purple 'n Gold could only manage fourth off today’s mark over these fences last week. Sharp Rise won at Kelso in April but didn’t get far before unseating after a blunder at Perth last time while Festive Affair scored at Ludlow under Richard Johnson but was a well beaten second last time behind MISS TENACIOUS at Warwick. The latter has a hike in the weights to contend with but she won with plenty in hand and is taken to go in again. Lightening Rod drops in class after a good effort at Stratford and is another to consider.
