Verdict

Having got off the mark here in May, Barman followed up in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter and has to be of interest on his handicap debut. David Dennis sent out last year's winner so Russian Bolero warrants respect despite a recent absence. Samtu won at Bangor in April and was taking on much better opposition when only beating one home at Aintree subsequently. The mare Dry Ol'party is also back in the right grade but Sword of The Lord is 0-14 over hurdles and was soon left behind in a three-runner race at Stratford last month. ROYAL PLAZA may have been let in lightly on his handicap debut as he's almost certainly better than he's shown in a couple of maidens giving he's a full brother to the smart hurdler/chaser Royal Regatta – he gets a tentative vote.
