In depth

Verdict

Bumper winners Evita Du Mesnil and Mergeela struggled on their respective hurdling bows with the former finishing a long way behind the winner at Stratford and the latter pulled-up at Southwell when BANNIXTOWN GLORY (NAP) finished runner-up. That was the point-to-point winners debut over timber and Donald McCain’s mare can go one better in this. Miss Heritage, Sitron and Unzipped also finished behind the selection at Southwell but Line Of Beauty ran well for a long way before fading at Newton Abbot and is entitled to come on for that first outing since 2017.
