In depth

Verdict

Richard Phillips' French import LIGHT THE WORLD has found form nicely on his last two runs and the four-year-old can improve further on that evidence against his elders here, especially as he handles all ground types. Earecomesthedream has claims at his best but has probably done his winning for the time being on past evidence while Sir Mattie scored quite cosily at Ffos Las but his form around that victory is rather patchy. Royal Kicks fell at the last at Stratford last time after a really doughty effort and could be the main danger to the selection if in the same mood here and over that tumble as Aqualung and Leac An Seail are hard to assess as they come here from the pointing arena.
