In depth

Verdict

Only a plater on the level, Bajan Hero was a 33/1 chance when beating Miss Conduct by a length and Newton Abbot and is probably worth opposing under a penalty. David Evans also runs Flat winner Temuco while Khazium looks the pick of Brendan Powell's pair with McCoy in the saddle. It's A Privilege and Za'Lan are other interesting newcomers while Fine Kingdom, third to Indepub at Sedgefield last week, has scope but Underwritten virtually refused to race when favourite at Market Rasen and is now tried in blinkers. THIRD HALF won a 1m2f handicap at Haydock in July for Tom Dascombe and looks the type to do well over timber. Now with Tim Vaughan, he'll have had plenty of schooling and can make a winning start over obstacles.
