In depth

Verdict

This may not be as competitive as the numbers suggest with Lady Roania looking to face an ideal opportunity to open her account over hurdles and getting the vote ahead of My Carole and Heart Springs. The selection, a bumper winner last term, has run two encouraging races over hurdles and a reproduction of her best form should see Peter Bowen's mare take this. Lyricist's Dream is becoming somewhat expensive to follow, while Photogenique has shown only a modicum of ability since being sent over from France. My Carole ran better last time but is unproven on ground this fast, while Heart Springs has ability but may do better over further. Lady Roania has solid claims in a weak contest and she is preferred.
