In depth

Verdict

The two main dangers in the opener are Kimono Royal and Getoutwhenyoucan with the vote going to the last named. Martin Pipe secured a double at Newton Abbot on Monday to prove his summer string in good form. Getoutwhenyoucan was a winner between the flags before two creditable efforts in similar company and only went down by the shortest of margins around Uttoxeter last time out. His ability does look limited but he is more than capable of winning in this grade and looks one to keep on the right side of. Kimono Royal will pose as the biggest danger and has been running well of late without getting his head in front. His form at times does look good but the fact that he runs consistent without winning makes his reliability suspect. Also look out for Carango Star at a big each at price as the trainer Keith Goldsworthy only has a small string put had a winner at Stratford the other day and this horse has his first run for connections so maybe worth noting in the market. But for the winner we return to Getoutwhenyoucan.
