In depth

Verdict

Fidux dropped down into Class 3 company for a comfortable course and distance success for which he's been raised 7lb. Pink Eyed Pedro, runner-up in the Topham in April, may have finished in front of the former at Newton Abbot but for unseating two out. but finished just behind EXELERATOR EXPRESS (NAP) when they were placed in the Grade 3 Summer Plate at Market Rasen and Neil Mullholland's charge can go one better. Haul Away won a novices' handicap here in May and returned to score over hurdles a month later and is still looking well handicapped.
