In depth

Prince Tom is lightly-raced for his age and jumped really well when beating the frustrating Battle Group on his fencing bow at Newton Abbot. But he may struggle to concede 7lb to the mare IXORA, who was his equal over hurdles and just as impressive over the larger obstacles at Huntingdon last month. Lion On The Prowl was third over a longer trip here four weeks ago and should find a small race over fences while Geneva Geyser will have needed his run at Kempton in April and has won twice here over timber and five times on the Flat.

Prince Tom 9-4 (11-0) Jumped well, led, narrowly headed 10th, in lead again next, in command and clear from 4 out, kept up to work final 100 yards, won at Newton Abbot 2m 5f beg chase (5) gf in May beating Battle Group (11-0) by 5l, 4 ran.

Exactly 100-1 (10-7) Held up behind, took keen hold, mistake 2nd, ridden and weakened from 9th, soon tailed off, 7th of 8, well behind Caddie Master (11-0) at Worcester 2m 7f beg chase (4) gs.

Geneva Geyser (GER) 28-1 (11-12) Held up towards rear, headway after 3 out, weakened from 2 out, 14th of 20, well behind Valento (10-11) at Kempton 2m 5f hcp hdl 0-130 (3) gd in Apr.
