Verdict
This is a very one-sided event, with Kerrigand expected to take all the beating on all known form and he gets a confident vote, with Brockton Mist the obvious candidate to chase him home. Martin Pipe's charge has scared away most of the opposition after posting an effortless success on his first start over British fences over the course and distance 11 days ago. Owner Sarah Ling was delighted, saying that she would be delighted if he were to prove as good as the stable's Stormez in time. Brockton Mist has taken time to get the hang of things over fences and does not possess as much scope as Kerrigand, but is a half-brother to Papillon so may well make his mark over extreme distances in time.
